Please feel free to add other types of networkers and put yourself into a category. You can be more than one type, and it can change on a day-to-day basis. Bottom line of presentation &#8211; networking is more important than ever. Networker extraordinaire <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/simasays\" target=\"_blank\">Sima Dahl<\/a> was the headline speaker. I&#8217;ve introduced her twice now and I need to step up my game. Please feel free to comment, add and join the conversation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cFeel Good\u201d <\/em><\/strong>Networker &#8211; Gets fulfillment out of networking, both professionally and personally<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <em><strong>\u201cObnoxious\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Networker &#8211; Has a networking agenda and it shows<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cI Have To Network\u201d <\/em><\/strong>Networker &#8211; Need to network out of necessity (biz dev, job search, talent hunting)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cI Hate Networking\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>Networker &#8211; I\u2019m around marketing all day, I want to hang out with my family\/friends<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <em><strong>\u201cUncomfortable\u201d <\/strong><\/em>Networker &#8211; I don\u2019t know one soul in this room<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em>\u201cYou Should Go Network\u201d<\/em><\/strong> Networker &#8211; Pressures from others to network who don\u2019t necessarily network themselves<!--more--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From my Chicago BMA Day intro presentation at Google yesterday.
